Allen County Community College (ACCC) was established in 1923. It has 2,500 students per semester and provides vocational/technical degree programs.
ACCC has the purpose to give quality education and support services available in a caring atmosphere to all students. The commitment of this institution is to provide a variety of educational programs for many interests.
This college has campuses in Iola and Burlingame. The first campus is located north of Iola and the second is located only 25 miles south of Topeka. The Burlingame campus offers transfer-oriented classes that include general education, business and computer classes.
ACCC has academies of Agriculture, Business, Criminal Justice, Education, English, Health/Physical Education, History, Humanities, Math, Science, Social/Behavioral, Technology and Visual/Performing Arts.
Its Health/Physical Education department has studies in Dental Hygiene, Dental/Medical/Veterinary/Chiropractic, Medical Technology, Mortuary Science, Nursing, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Physical Assistant, Radiology and Respiratory Therapy.
The college offers services such as computer labs, bookstore, library, financial aid, online courses, writing center and career job information. It also has activities like playing for a band, theater, drama club, inferno magazine, jazz band, aggie club, choir and more.
There also are baseball, basketball, cheer, golf, soccer, softball and volleyball teams and dance group.
