Anne Arundel Community College Invites You to Join Them

Anne Arundel Community College (AACC) is located in Maryland; this college was founded in 1961 with the committment to offer credit programs and constant education courses providing appropriate services that support academic success and student development, promoting country and state economic development among others.

AACC offers associate degrees, certificates, letters of recognition and professional certificates in areas such as Arts and Sciences, Business, Computing and Technical Studies, Health Professions and Wellness and Physical Education.

Their Health Professions department offers careers like: Emergency Medical Technician, Medical Assisting, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistance, Radiology Technology and Pharmacy Technician.

Their Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) program consists of a 49 credit, three semester paramedic program.  Once a student completes this program they may take the national and state emergency medical technician exams or complete the 64-68 credit EMT-Paramedic Associate of Applied Sciences degree program.

Graduates of Medical Assisting can be eligible to sit for a certification examination given by the American Association of Medical Assistants. Medical Assistants have many employment options such as administrative medical assistants or office managers, clinical medical assistants, medical transcriptions, phlebotomists, medical laboratory assistants or medical coders.

Nursing students practice while simulating nursing skills in a college lab with state-of-the-art equipment. Students can opt to become a Registered Nurse, Patient Care Technician, Geriatric Nursing Assistant and Registered Nurse First Assistant.

Their students can enjoy effective academic or career counseling, financial assistance, accessible health services, affordable child care, comprehensive orientation programs, professional tutoring in writing, math, reading or study skills.
