Bellingham Technical College (BTC) has the mission to deliver superior professional technical education for today?s needs and opportunities and be a recognized leader in providing innovative and effective technical education.

BTC offers to its students a career center, counseling and advising, financial Aid, library, transfer credit, disability support service, dental clinic, bookstore, food, voter registration, transfer credit and student council.

Professional Technical Program in Health Sciences and Human Services includes Dental Assistant, Nursing Assistant, Radiology Technology, Practical Nursing and Surgery Technology.

Dental Assistant career prepares students to help the operator chair-side during diagnostic, preventive and operative dental procedures including expanded function.

Nursing Assistant provides instruction for persons interested in obtaining certification in this field and then to take the Washington State written and practical examination for certification as a Nursing Assistant Certified.

Practical Nursing is a program to prepare the students for licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse; this is approved by the Washington State Department of Health.

On the other hand, Radiology Technology program fulfill the educational objectives established by the American Society of Radiologic Technologists. The program takes 21 months to be complete.

To complete the Health and Sciences and Human Services department, Surgery Technology students learn how to employ surgical tools and technologies to assist a physician perform invasive, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

To be admitted in any of the careers previously mentioned, people must schedule an appointment for an assessment test, obtain and complete an admission application form and submit it.
