Broome Community College (BCC) is a comprehensive community college under supervision of State University or New York and sponsored by the County of Broome. College is member of the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools.

BCC has the mission to provide open access to those who can be benefit from its programs and services, occupational and technical degree and certificate programs, community and continuing education and training.

This college has bookstore, campus shop, computer labs, library, learning resource center, math lab, tutoring services, veterans? services, writing center, job placement services, educational opportunity program and counseling resource center.

Health Sciences career programs at BCC are emphasized on blending classroom educational and lab work with clinical experience, students learn from talent teachers.

The degree programs and certificates in the health science division are the study programs in Dental Hygiene, Emergency Medical Technology-Paramedic, Medical Assistant, Medical Laboratory Technology, Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant and Radiology Technology. In the same division also are Certificate program in Medical Transcription and Phlebotomy.

Dental Hygiene program helps students to develop the skills necessary to become a registered dental hygienist and be employed in private dental practices, schools, hospitals, industry and public health settings.

Throughout Emergency Medical Technology-Paramedic students are prepared to care for patients in emergency situations and to work in a fire department ambulance services.

The Medical Assistant graduates have the ability to assist procedures, clinical procedure, prepare patients for examinations assist physicians, and perform routine diagnostic procedures and sophisticated techniques using high-tech medical equipment.
