Central Kentucky Technical College is made up by three singular campuses: Lexington, Danville and Anderson Campus. All academic/technical programs related to health are given in Lexington Campus, which is called this way due to the name of the area where it is located. Among this kind of programs, Medical Assistance, Medical Office Technology, Office Systems Technology, Practical Nursing, Radiology and Surgical Technology stand out. In the cases of Practical Nursing and Radiology, only Diploma degrees are offered. In the rest of the programs of study, Associate Degrees, Diploma and Certificates are available.
Dual Credit course system is at the disposal of Lexington CKTC students. This is a kind of course in which students are registered in two different high schools and receive credit from both institutions for the same course. In this case, Central Kentucky Technical College is working in conjunction with Bluegrass Community & Technical College District (BCTCD). The Health Science area gives students the opportunity to take this type of courses.
In order to get enrolled in Lexington, individuals must be 16 years old as a minimum, have a high school diploma, present current exchange scores from the Compass Test of the ACT (the American College Test), fill-out the corresponding application form and declare a program major. In addition, CKTC gives the chance of applying not only for scholarships, but also for general financial aid. They work through many different sorts of financial aid. However, in order to apply for it, individuals should have all special requirements such as attending a participating school, being a U.S. citizen or, at least, an eligible non-citizen, having an excellent academic progress and not owing a refund on a federal education loan.
