The Health Sciences division offers a wide-ranging list of interesting programs: Cytotechnology, Dental Assisting, Dental Hygiene, Health Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Medical Laboratory Technology, Physical Therapist Assistance and Respiratory Therapy.  Cardiovascular Technology, Developmental Disabilities, Substance Abuse and Nursing are other examples of programs that are also available as separate programs of study.  Another division offering courses that have to do with health is called Health and Community Services which provide students with an entry-level job training in the health field.  Some courses that belong to this division are Coding ? Medical Billing, Dietary Managing, Emergency Medical Technology, Healthcare Activity Direction, Pharmacy Technology and Phlebotomy, among others.

Even though CPCC is making a great effort in order to offer individuals the highest quality academic programs, they are also concerned about offering their students helpful resources in order to enhance their well-being while studying.  For that reason, students have access to an Academic Learning Center, Counseling or Advisement, Career Services, Community Development, Financial Aid, Library, Scholarships, Student Insurance, Student Support Services, Laboratory and different types of supplies.  In regards to scholarships, they are given through the Central Piedmont Community College?s Foundation by some individuals and corporative donors such as industries, professional organizations and clubs.  They are assigned according to two different criteria: merit-based and need-based scholarships.  You can apply for it depending on your concerns.
