Richard J. Daley College is located at 7500 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, Illinois. The doors of Daley were opened in 1981. The name of this institution was established in honor of the six-term mayor of Chicago, whose effort made the dream of a college come true. Daley serves 4,500 students annually. They boast a facility campus that encompasses laboratories for numerous disciplines, a 60,000-volume library, ample classrooms, a pool, a cafeteria, a gymnasium and a Student Activities Center.
Besides these awesome resources, they also offer a wide variety of student services that range from advising to financial aid/assistance. Among them, Special Needs Services, Job Placement and the TRiO program are remarkable. Students in the TRiO program have access to internships, academic planning, career information, mentoring and scholarship information.
This College has more than 50 associate degrees and certificates available for you so you can select the area of study that fulfills your needs better. The areas of Dentistry, Medicine, Optometry and Pharmacy are included within the category of Associate in Science Degree. The Nursing area of study is enclosed in the classification of Associates in Applied Science Degrees.
In January, 1996, the Nursing program received accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC).
