Coastal Georgia Community College, which is located in Brunswick, G.A., was created in 1961. CCCC, a member of the University System of Georgia, was previously named Brunswick College. Since 1972, CCCC began operating in order to serve the requirements of coastal Georgia; however, it was not until 1986 that the Brunswick Center was created to provide individuals with baccalaureate and master?s degrees. They work in conjunction with other colleges of the University System.
Coastal Georgia Community has received accreditation from many associations that confer prestige to their name and demonstrate the quality of their work. For example, they are accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences, the Joint Review Committee for Education in Radiologic Technology, the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, and National League for Nursing. The Georgia Board of Examiners of Licensed Practical Nurses and the Georgia Board of Nurses have approved the institution too.
