Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy Vocation Schools

At Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy (CCMT) we believe in the transformational power of massage therapy. We also believe that experiencing the life-enhancing effects of massage first hand, and having a deep awareness and understanding of what massage therapy is about, is the foundation for being able to help others through touch. Core to its mission, CCMT strives to provide comprehensive, professional training in a holistic context. We honor the synchrony of mind-body-heart as we support self-care and personal development.

Admission Requirments:

  • Be 18 years or older at the time of registration.
  • Be proficient in the English language.
  • Attend an Admissions interview.
  • Have graduated from high school or have the equivalent of a high school diploma. You must provide either a high school transcript, GED score report, or college transcript with degree as proof of this.
  • Be in good health, free of infectious disease, and free of any condition, physical or otherwise, which would reasonably prevent use of knowledge or skills gained from training for successful work performance after completion of the program. CCMT reserves the right to ask for a physician's release for participation in one of our programs.

Financial Aid:
CCMT offers personal installment plans to all students as well as federal financial aid for those who qualify. You may begin your application for a Federal Pell Grant or Stafford Loan.

Job Placement:
The Career Services Department is a resource and support center for students and graduates, providing placement assistance and helping them deepen their connection to one another, to the school and to the massage therapy profession.

The Career Services Department communicates regularly with employers matching our available graduates with openings within their companies.

Through a comprehensive Career Development effort, students are instructed on how to conduct an effective career search. Topics include goal setting, resume and cover letter writing, informational interviewing techniques and follow-up.

Accreditation:
CCMT is accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), which is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a specialized accrediting agency for massage therapy and bodywork programs and institutions.
