The medical education you receive at Salter College is designed to prepare you for an exciting medical career or to enhance the opportunities in your current career through enhanced skills. Externship studies in a student's chosen program in Emergency Medical Technician, Massage Therapy, Medical Assistant, Medical Billing and Coding, and Medical Office facilitate the transition from classroom knowledge to practical, on-the job training and knowledge.

Financial Aid:
Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to find out if you are eligible for financial aid. After you apply, you will receive your SAR (Student Aid Report) which will give you an Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Your EFC is used to calculate your financial aid eligibility. Based on your eligibility, the types of aid that you may receive are grants, need-based scholarships, loans, and work study.

Career Services:
The Salter College Career Services Department assists students and alumni in all aspects of their job search. The high standard of professional training offered by Salter College for over 60 years has earned an outstanding reputation for providing qualified personnel. The Career Services Department has implemented a Career Directions Seminar, which provides a realistic approach to searching for employment. In addition, students are scheduled for personalized sessions to finalize their job search tools and talk about their individual needs concerning employment.

The Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
Salter College Medical Assisting Certificate program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (www.caahep.org) upon recommendation of the Curriculum Review Board of the American Association of Medical Assistant Endowment (AAMAE).
