It requires both academic and technical knowledge, clinical skills, manual dexterity, and sensitivity. To become a massage therapist, you must have the desire to help others, as well as a commitment to investing the time and energy to develop the required skills.
The average length of time for a student taking a full course load is 2.5 semesters. A minimum of 35 semester credit hours is required for graduation.
