University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio is located in the region Southern region of Texas with campuses in Laredo and Rio Grande Valley.

The Regional Academic Health Education Center is part of the Medical School and gives its students and residents the chance to live and train in Rio Grande Valley. On other hand, the Laredo Campus Extension offers degree programs in allied health fields and health education.
