Aims Community College is a community two year college in Colorado with four campuses, 18 buildings and more than 300,000 students.

The College offers educational options such as certificates and associate degree, occupational, technical, general educations and college transfer programs, short courses in different topics.

 

Aims? Allied Health and Human Service Academy includes Medical Clinical Assisting, Nurse Aide, Practical Nurse, Associate Degree Nurse, Surgical Technology and Radiography Technologist.

 

Medical Assistants help to take care of patients by preparing treatment rooms, check the background information of the patients with interviews and also do the basic check-up of weight, height, temperature, pulse and blood pressure. They clean and sterilize instruments, prepare inventories of supplies and help doctor with scheduling appointments and receiving bills.     

 

The Extended Practical Nursing is designed for people who want to work in rehabilitation, long-term care, clinic direct hands-on patient care. The Nurse Aid is focused on care for the adult or disable patient.

 

In Surgical Technology, people interested in working in an operating room, would have the opportunity to work in surgery, hospital, freestanding surgical centers and some clinics.

 

Finally, in the Radiologic Technology Academy once completed the entire program, graduates can take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists exam and then access to the Mammography program.

 

New and returning students have to complete the Application for Admission but for the Radiologic Technology program requires and additional application for admission.
