Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College (ABTech) was established in 1959. They are located in Victoria Road, Asheville, North Carolina.

ABTech is a comprehensive community college dedicated to student success and commited to provide accessible and quality educational opportunities according to the needs of the community. Their Allied Health and Public Service Division offers Academic Programs and Associate Degrees in Nursing, Emergency Medical Science, Sonography Technology, Dental Hygiene, Laboratory Technology and Radiography.

They also offer Diploma programs in Dental Assisting, Practical Nursing, Surgical Technology and Certified studies in Medical Coding and Phlebotomy.

ABTech offers online and distance learning with alternatives such as online classes on the Internet, interactive television classes and telecourses on videocassette.

Online classes are like traditional classrooms based on textbooks, assignments, deadlines and tests. Interactive Television (ITV) is another distance learning system that is available as well as a telecourse virtual campus.
