Bowling Green Technical College

Bowling Green Technical College was born in 1939 with the mission to provide education and training by providing certificate, diploma and two-year degree programs, workforce training, remedial and continuing education, adult education and family literacy and associate services.


Academic Programs in Allied Health division includes Licensed Practical Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Medicaid Nurse Aide, Surgical Technology, Sonography, Radiography and Respiratory Care.


Practical Nursing Program prepares students to provide nursing care and health promotion activities to individuals. Graduates are eligible to write the NCLEX-PN to become a licensed practical nurse.


Medicaid Nurse Aide program is designed to prepare nurse aides that give direct patient care under the supervision of licensed nurse personnel. Its course consists of 59 hours in classroom and laboratory and 16 hours in a clinic supervised by an instructor.


The Medication Administration course prepares Medical Nurse Aide to administer specific medications in a long-term care facility. The course takes 60hours in classroom and laboratory and 20 hours in a clinical practicum.


On the other hand, Emergency Medical Technician professionals works receiving calls form a dispatcher and responding to determine the nature and extend of illness or injury.
