Broward Community College

Broward Community College (BCC) was born with the mission to provide high quality, affordable and accessible educational programs and services by a dedicated faculty and staff, academic excellence and use of current technology.

In addition to its main campus, BCC has the Downtown Center, North Campus, South Campus, Commercial Boulevard Center, Pines Center, Miramar Center and Tigertail Lake Center.

In all those campuses, Broward Community College offers bookstore, honors institute, veteran services, disability services, financial services, continuing education, advising, counseling, enrollment services, international services, child center and student employment.

BCC offers Associate degrees in Arts, Applied Science, and Science, Certificates, Advanced Technical Certificates and Applied Technology Diploma.

The Associate in Applied Science (A.S.S.) degree is a career/technical degree that offers study programs in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Radiography.

The Associate in Science (A.S.) degree is a career education and transfer degree that takes at least 15-18 semester hours. This program includes Cardiovascular Technology, Dental Hygiene, Nuclear Medicine, Nursing, Physical Therapy Assistant, Radiation Technology, Emergency Science Technology, Diagnostic Medical Sonography and Respiratory Care.

BCC?s Certificates provide quick, comprehensive training for immediate entry to a job. In this category, there are available study program in Dental Assisting, Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Emergency Medical Services, Medical Assisting, Nuclear Medicine and Radiation Therapy Technology.

Nursing, Physical Therapist Assistant and Diagnostic Medical Sonography careers are also available in Advances Technical Certificate (ATC) which consists of nine hours or more but less than 45 hours of college-level courses.

Another option is the Applied Technology Diploma (A.T.D.) in Emergency Medical Services. This diploma is less than 60 college credit hours or vocational credits and 50% of the technical component of the degree.

For admission to Broward Community College, those who have a standard high school diploma, GED or home education can apply.
