Central Lakes College, located in Brainerd Minnesota, is the result of the union of Brainerd Technical College, Staples Technical College and Brainerd Community College in 1995. All the funds also got combined in order to create the Central Lakes College Foundation.
The college offers extremely functional and practical academic programs in relation to Health & Human Service Careers. The programs given in this division are Dental Assisting Diploma, Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Diploma and Registered Nursing (RN) A.S. Degree. At the same time, the college offers Diploma, Certificate and Associate Degrees for some specific courses.

In CLC, individuals enrolled have special services such as Bookstore, Business Office, Counseling and Career Center, Financial Aid, Student Life Activities/Athletics, Library, and Supportive Services which include, among others, disability services and day care.
They strongly believe in their guiding principle that says: ?The student comes first?. Thus, they make a great list of types of financial aid available for every individual who qualifies. For this matter, they must complete and submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, also called the FAFSA. In addition to conferring the possibility of getting one of the five types of loans they work with, students are also able to ask for employment in two different categories: need based and non-need based.
