Central Wyoming College: Excellence Is not a Feature but a Reality

Central Wyoming College is located in Riverton, Wyoming. Their facilities encompass an Art Center, a Main Hall, a Food Court, a Student Center, Residence Halls, a Professional-Tech Center and a Physical Plant Office among other buildings. This institution was founded in 1966; they are part of the seven public two-year colleges of Wyoming. CWC provides their students with a wide-ranging list of study programs in various disciplines.

Nursing and Nursing Assistance, Wilderness Medicine, Radiography, Surgical Technology and Pre-Health Professional are very innovative careers that CWC offers. The program of Pre-Health Professional includes different kinds of courses such as Pre-Med, Pre-Dental, Pre-Optometry, Pre-Physical Therapy, Pre-Osteopathic, Pre-Chiropractic, Pre-Physician Assistant and Pre-Naturopathic. The program of Radiography is given along with the Department of Radiological Sciences at Weber State University (WSU) in Ogden, Utah. CWC Nursing students meet all HIPAA requisites before entering clinical sites. Furthermore, the Wyoming State Board of Nursing and the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission give credit to the program.

The wonderful student services that CWC has available for their students include academic advising, library, tutoring, counseling, food service, housing, bookstore, employment and financial aid. This feature includes the rubric of scholarships.  However, Federal Financial Aid is offered in three different ways: Grants, Loans and Employment (work study). The process that applicants need to go through is really easy. First of all it is necessary to complete and submit the FAFSA and the CWC Financial Aid Application and send the official transcripts of high schools, colleges or universities attended before to the Records and Research Office. Nevertheless, besides the need-based type of financial aid there is also the non-need based one. For this kind students must have mainly a top-notch progress toward completing a program of study.
