The medical world depends on health information management professionals to collect, maintain, organize, and interpret this data.
Medical Billing and Coding Specialists are employed in a variety of settings including: hospitals and clinics. In addition, health information professionals work in physician offices, insurance companies, long term care facilities, rehabilitation and mental health facilities.
The diploma program in Medical Billing and Coding at Apollo College prepares the graduate to work in the health information technology profession. The clinical practice segment is designed to reinforce classroom learning.
